Location: Forest National
Full-time
Start: As soon as possible
About the job
Forest National, part of be•at, is looking for a driven and versatile technician to keep our infrastructure running – both literally and figuratively. From a leaking tap to a broken door: you make sure everything is in perfect condition for both artist and audience.
be•at is the beating heart behind Belgium’s leading concert and event venues. With iconic venues such as Forest National, Stadsschouwburg Antwerpen, and Sportpaleis (soon AFAS Dome), we create magical moments that stay with people.
What you’ll do
As an in-house technician, you are responsible for the daily technical maintenance of the building. Your tasks are varied and essential to ensure every show runs smoothly:
- Plumbing: You fix leaks, unclog drains, and ensure all sanitary facilities are working.
- Carpentry: You repair doors, walls, and furniture as needed.
- Electricity: You replace sockets and switches, solve minor electrical issues, and repair lighting fixtures.
- General Maintenance: You paint, perform small repairs, and keep technical and backstage areas tidy and safe.
- Infrastructure Repairs: You provide practical solutions for issues with seats, equipment, or building elements.
What we expect from you
- You have broad technical knowledge and experience in one or more of the above areas.
- You’ve applied your skills in renovations or remodeling projects.
- You can work independently and in a team.
- You’re available full-time, Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, with flexibility to occasionally cover technical shifts in the evening or weekends (depending on concerts or events).
- You speak Dutch and French fluently. Basic English is a plus.
- You’re safety-conscious, tidy, and quality-minded.
What we offer, in addition to a market-based salary with attractive benefits:
- A full-time permanent contract with immediate start at Forest National.
- A varied job at a unique location where music is central.
- A warm team and a company committed to sustainability, diversity, and growth.
- The chance to be part of the magic behind national and international top acts
