About us

Meet be•at

In Antwerp and Brussels, as well as in Ghent and Hasselt, we have plenty of space for you to organize concerts, theatre shows, musicals and corporate events of any size. You name it, we let it fit in one of our venues. From 200 m2 to 12,000 m2, we have what are searching for. Our arenas and theatres are bustling meeting places. And they want to be just that for you and your visitors, customers and business associates, no matter how many people you want to bring along.

The market leader regarding arena operation

The Sportpaleis, the largest and most popular venue in the country and a household name far beyond its national borders, opened its doors in 1933 and is the jewel in the crown of our group of venues.

Since the takeover by be•at in 1997, the venue has experienced its second youth and become the place to be for anyone wishing to experience large-scale events without concern. Equally successful is the much younger Lotto Arena, which is on a par with its neighbour. The Lotto Arena welcomed its first visitors in 2007.

Since January 2012, be•at also operates the Trixxo Arena and the Trixxo Theater in Hasselt. Be•at is making far-reaching investments in the Hasselt venues in order to firmly anchor these in the events landscape too.

Major growth spurt after 2013

On 1 October 2013, be•at took over the management of Forest National, the legendary rock temple in Brussels.

On 6 January 2014, be•at added the management of two major theatres to its activities, Stadsschouwburg Antwerpen and Capitole Gent.

The successful course of be•at was noticed by Live Nation Entertainment, the largest entertainment company in the world. In April 2019, it incorporated be•at into its ranks, through which the Belgian business group became part of Live Nation Venues.

In view of the 25th anniversary of the organization, the Proximus Pop-Up Arena opened its doors in Middelkerke in June 2021.
